Ziplining Over the Paraná River

In one of the more thrilling moments of our travels, we found ourselves ziplining over the Paraná River in Argentina, all in the name of butterfly conservation.

The dense, tropical forests along the river are home to several species of host plants essential for butterfly breeding, and collecting these plants was key to our ongoing research efforts.

Host Plant Collection

As we zipped over the lush canopy, we were able to access remote areas that would have been difficult to reach on foot.

The exhilaration of the ride was matched only by the importance of our mission—to gather the vital host plants that support butterfly life cycles.

Our Research

These plants provide nourishment for caterpillars, making them indispensable to breeding programs and conservation efforts.

It was an unforgettable experience, combining adventure with the critical work of preserving butterfly populations in their natural habitats.
